When you think of video scoreboards, you might think they’re only being used for winter sports right now. But we’re right in the middle of tournament season for another competitive activity: show choir.
One Omaha high school with a robust show choir program recently hosted their show choir competition, Competition of Excellence, with the help of their ScoreVision jumbotron displays.
While performances took place back-to-back all day on January 27th, Westside High School used their gymnasium as an overflow space, live-streaming the performances in high-definition on their set of two LED displays. When it came time for the preliminary awards ceremony, they displayed the awards presentation on each multimedia jumbotron, highlighting winning ensembles and soloists with vibrant photos.
