FAQs

Do I need to already own an Apple TV to purchase ScoreVisionLE?

The ScoreVisionLE software suite can be accessed through an existing or new Apple TV. If you do not have an Apple TV you plan to use for your system, one can be purchased through our certified resellers or anywhere electronics are sold.

Can ScoreVisionLE be used on an LED display?

YES! By connecting an Apple TV to an HDMI input on your LED system, you can display our scoreboards at a 16:9 aspect ratio. To get the most out of an LED display, we recommend upgrading to our traditional ScoreVisionSE software suite to access our production studio.

Do I need a tablet to use the scorekeepers?

A dedicated tablet for a scorekeeper is recommended. However, the ScoreVision App is available for iOS and Android smartphones if you want to access the scorekeepers on a mobile device. This allows for easy, wireless access to your scoreboard. If you need to leave the scorekeeper during a break in the action, it will not interrupt the scoreboard; just open the app back up in time for your next action.

Are shot clocks compatible with ScoreVisionLE?

ScoreVisionLE does have shot clock capabilities within the ScoreVision App. However, incorporating shot clocks into basketball games will require additional hardware. You will need smaller TVs—with Apple TVs—mounted over basketball boards. A second device for shot clock control is available through the ScoreVision App.

What are the audio options for ScoreVisionLE?

ScoreVisionLE has an available horn function that can be sounded through your choice of audio output. The most common options are using an existing PA sound system, mounting a soundbar to the TV, or just using the TV audio speakers.

How do I choose a TV to use for ScoreVisionLE?

The TV you decide to use to display the scoreboard is completely up to you. However, we do have a few things we think you should consider when picking a TV. The TV should be large enough to be seen from the gym floor and from the stands. This will typically be a 65” TV display or larger, depending on the size of the gymnasium. Other considerations are the weight of the TV and how well it will mount on the wall of your gym.

Is multimedia content supported with ScoreVisionLE?

Single image uploading is accessible in your cloud account to show a static image or advertisement within the panorama media section, which is shown on the board while the game is running, or in the cinema media section, which is shown during timeouts and other break-in-action moments. Access to additional dynamic media and sophisticated advertising with reporting is available at an additional cost when talking to a sales representative.

Does ScoreVisionLE support Advertising?

Through single image uploading into your cloud account, static advertisements can be entered to show in the panorama media section on the board while the game is running or in the Cinema media section to show during timeouts and other break-in-action moments. Access to additional sophisticated advertising –with reporting– options are available at an additional cost when talking to a sales representative.

What sports are available through the ScoreVision App?

ScoreVisionLE software suite, including signature scorekeepers for Basketball, Volleyball, Wrestling, and Universal, all within the ScoreVision App, is available in the Apple app store and Google Play store on tablets and smartphones.

Does ScoreVisionLE allow for team branding?

By default, your cloud account allows you to upload a single image to customize your scoreboard background, which has a 16:9 aspect ratio. These scoreboard backgrounds—or Brand Wrappers—can be created to show team spirit and changed for each season or specific game.
