On Saturday, March 1st, Georgia Tech’s Bobby Dodd Stadium became the ultimate stage for the ATL LAX Invitational, an annual showdown featuring two of Georgia's top high school teams and a few of the nation’s top collegiate teams. Hosted by 285 Lacrosse, the event brought excitement and energy to one of the state’s most iconic venues. And behind the scenes, ScoreVision was there to make sure everything ran seamlessly.
The Challenge: Bringing Lacrosse to a Bigger Stage
285 Lacrosse, a non-profit dedicated to raising awareness for lacrosse among inner-city youth in Georgia, needed a large venue to host the ATL LAX Invitational. Bobby Dodd Stadium provided the perfect location—but there was one significant problem: Georgia Tech did not have staff to run its complex scoring and production system for the event. To ensure the event's success, 285 Lacrosse turned to ScoreVision.

This saved them time and relieved the stress of having to set up games while on-site individually.
In addition, the game day experience went from requiring an entire team to effectively only two people—one to operate the scorekeeping app and the other to run the production through the Producer App. This made the game day experience much more manageable without sacrificing the excitement of showcasing media on the scoreboard.
Bobby Dodd Stadium’s advanced media systems require specialized connections and configurations, so the ScoreVision team customized the technical setup to seamlessly manage video, audio, and live data outputs. Despite challenges like integrating audio and last-minute adjustments for lacrosse-specific stats, their expertise ensured a smooth and professional presentation.

Notre Dame vs. Maryland: This highly anticipated rematch of last year's national championship did not disappoint. No. 2 Maryland edged out No. 1 Notre Dame with a thrilling 11-10 victory. Maryland led 10-7 late in the game, but Notre Dame's Chris Kavanagh scored twice to close the gap. Maryland's Daniel Kelly sealed the win with a short-handed goal, holding off a final push from Notre Dame's Jordan Faison.

Mercer vs. Drexel: Drexel delivered a commanding performance, scoring five consecutive goals to start the game and defeating Mercer 21-6. This victory marked Drexel's second straight win, improving their season record to 3-2.
